Job Title: Electronic Lab Technician IV

Location: Raleigh, NC 27616

Duration: 9 Months

Pay Rate: $31.29/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronic Lab Technician IV to lead the design, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electronic systems. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to mentor junior technicians while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of highly complex electronic systems and components.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct advanced research and experimentation to explore emerging technologies and innovative solutions.
  • Design and implement sophisticated test procedures to evaluate performance, reliability, and functionality of electronic systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex electronic circuits and systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Mentor and support junior lab technicians, fostering technical growth and development.
  • Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and product managers to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and advancements to improve processes and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a laboratory or technical environment, with a strong focus on electronic design and testing.
  • Extensive expertise in electronic design tools (schematic capture, PCB layout, simulation software).
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits and components.
  • Proficiency with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers).
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex electronic systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or advanced certifications in a related discipline.
  • Experience with specialized testing techniques (RF, EMC, environmental testing).
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (IPC standards, FCC regulations).
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and technical leadership.
