Job Description

The Neuroscience Institute at Memorial Healthcare System is looking to expand its surgical neuro-oncology and skull-based services by adding an additional BE/BC neurosurgeon to its team. Those with training, special interest and/or expertise in cranial surgery are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will join a team of adult and pediatric neurosurgeons, neurointerventionalists, medical neurologists with dedicated areas of expertise and a team of clinical mid-level professionals. General neurosurgery call is required. Fellowship in Neurosurgical-oncology or skull base is preferred. This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity. About Memorial Neuroscience Institute Memorial Neuroscience Institute uses advanced technology and innovative procedures to treat a broad spectrum of neurological conditions, including brain tumors, vascular disease, traumatic brain injuries, degenerative spinal conditions, spinal cord injuries epilepsy and stroke. The institute offers a wide range of surgical services, including pediatric surgery, pituitary surgery, tumor surgery, cerebrovascular surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, functional neurosurgery and spinal reconstruction surgery. Memorial Neuroscience Institute also offers intraoperative image-guided brain and spinal surgery, as well as robotics. The institute has been named a Neuroscience Institute of Excellence, is a Joint Commission Certified comprehensive Stroke Center, and has been awarded the Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus designation from the American Heart and Stroke Association.
