Job Description

Edge Engineering and Science LLC is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Managing Consultant to play a key role in supporting and advancing our clients’ strategic HSE initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead risk assessments and incident investigations to identify root causes and implement effective prevention strategies.
  • Develop and execute corrective action plans to address incidents and improve safety performance.
  • Solve complex technical and regulatory challenges across diverse industrial environments.
  • Design and implement corporate health and safety strategies and programs.
  • Develop and enhance safety and industrial hygiene programs, including comprehensive exposure assessments to protect worker health.
  • Conduct onsite audits to identify unsafe or non-compliant conditions related to OSHA, DOT, Fire Code, and EPA regulations, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions for employees and management and facilitate safety committee meetings.
  • Lead and mentor technical teams to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage projects to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to ongoing business growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Certification as a Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in safety and risk management (consulting environment preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience in the oil and gas, chemical, or manufacturing industries.
  • Demonstrated client relationship management and business development skills.
