We are seeking a hands-on self-starter with 3+ years of robotics experience to own and scale automation capabilities from the ground up. This role heavily relies on production-focused programming skills as you build a roadmap for sanding, trimming, material handling, and print/mill support. You will also utilize PLCs, robot I/O, HMIs, and CAD/CAM platforms like SolidWorks or Mastercam. responsibilities:
- Lead automation projects from concept to repeatable production for processes like sanding, trimming, and material handling.
- Evaluate, source, and integrate industrial robot arms, end-of-arm tooling, sensors, and safety controls.
- Program complex robot motion paths and optimize tool speed, contact pressure, and cycle times.
- Design, fabricate, and test prototype automation cells and custom part-holding fixtures on the shop floor.
- Support large-format 3D printing and 5-axis milling operations while troubleshooting equipment issues.
