We have an immediate need for a Sr. Electrical Engineer for our Syosset, NY location.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Edison, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for commercial, industrial, municipal and healthcare facilities.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, field surveys to support design and construction phases.
  • Preparation of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams and load calculations.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and other team members.
  • Review of submittals and RFIs during construction administration
  • Serve as Project Engineer and Project Manager on smaller, less complex projects
  • Use engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD)
  • Capable of leading a team of engineers and working independently with little guidance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Min 7 years of relevant electrical design experience.
  • Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commissioning experience a plus
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to work independently with general instructions/guidance from senior engineers to produce the expected results 
  • Experience with sustainable design and LEED-certified projects
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask to meet specific project deadlines

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment

Compensation : Minimum: $120,000 Maximum: $160,000. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of the this positing is willing to pay for the advertised position . Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidates’ qualifications and location.

The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
