The Wood Carver blends traditional craftsmanship with dynamic retail support across multiple onboard departments. This unique role involves performing live wood carving demonstrations for guests, showcasing artistic techniques, materials, and cultural stories while creating original pieces for display and sale.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to daily operations in areas such as Shore Excursions, Gift Shop, Spa, and Photo Studio.
• Assists guests with booking shore excursions, providing clear and accurate tour information.
• Manages ticketing, documentation, and addresses guest inquiries during embarkation and debarkation.
• Welcomes guests into the onboard gift shop and provides assistance with merchandise selection.
• Promotes and sells products while ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Greet spa guests warmly, manage check-ins, and schedule appointments.
• Provides detailed information about spa services, products, and promotions.
• Helps guests with photo selections and responds to questions about photo packages.
• Conducts live wood carving demonstrations in designated onboard areas, engaging guests by explaining carving techniques, tools, and materials.
• Creates carvings for sale or display and maintains a safe, organized workspace that enhances the guest experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years old.
• Good level of English language.
• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
• Work in varying light and weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work 7 days a week.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality, tourism, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or related industries.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively in high-pressure setting.
• Passionate about hospitality and customer service.
